Our application process is designed to ensure strong values alignment. It works best when candidates are informed, responsive, and willing to get to know us through our process.

Getting started with Global One

NEW TO YPO? START HERE

Our application process typically takes 2-3 months. The single biggest factor in keeping it moving smoothly is your responsiveness to messages and requests for information.

Here’s what to expect if you are new to YPO or rejoining YPO via Global One:

  • Complete Your Application Here

    Once your application is submitted, it enters formal review with YPO.

  • You’ll be contacted directly by YPO International to complete a third-party revenue verification.

    ➡️ Ensure the person who will be completing this information on your behalf is watching for these emails and ready to respond promptly—delays in this step are the most common cause of slowdowns.

  • After revenue verification is complete, members of the Global One Membership Committee will reach out to schedule two interviews:

    • One interview may be with a member local to your city, if applicable

    • One interview with a Global One membership committee member

    These conversations help ensure mutual fit for you and for the chapter. Bring your questions for a candid, authentic conversation about Global One is, and what it isn’t.

  • While your membership interviews are in progress, you’ll receive a scheduling link from YPO for a small-group Preboarding call. This conversation gives you a deeper understanding of what to expect as a YPO member, including values, community, culture and what it means to be part of this peer-driven organization. This call is your opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how to engage meaningfully in YPO from day one.

  • After all these steps are completed, you should have a complete understanding about YPO and the Global One chapter. If we all collectively agree it’s a great match, we’re excited to welcome you to YPO as a Global One member and kick off your onboarding process. We’re excited to meet you!

Making the move

TRANSFERRING INTO GLOBAL ONE

Already a YPO member and considering a transfer, or a secondary membership? We’re glad you’re exploring Global One as a chapter home.

Global One is seeking engaged members willing to show up and contribute to our community. Our application process will share more details.

To transfer into the chapter or become a secondary member, please expect the following process.

  • A referral from an existing Global One member is required to join. Not sure if you know someone in the chapter? Reach out to us at support@ypog1.com and we’re happy to help you explore connections.

    You can also review the G1 member directory on YPO Connect to see who you know.

  • Once the above steps are complete, you’ll finalize the administrative transfer process through YPO International inside your membership profile. Your current chapter will verify that you are a member in good standing.

  • Your YPO Connect profile must be 100% completed before a transfer is approved, so make sure all those fields about yourself are up to date. We also ask that all transfers have completed Forum Fundamentals training.

  • To ensure that Global One is the right fit for your YPO goals, you will interview with two members of the membership committee. This is also a great way to get to know the community.

    If all parties agree that Global One is the right fit, we look forward to welcoming you into the chapter. Please note that transfers are assessed the one-time Global One new member fee.

A final note

Global One seeks members excited to attend events and engage in our community. This is a chapter of committed and active members.

If you stay engaged and responsive to messages and requests during the application process, we’ll meet you with the same energy. We reserve the right to discontinue the process with applicants who are non-responsive or seeking a “placeholder” chapter.
